Here is Why Alex Scott Rejected Bournemouth's New Contract Amid Interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United

Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has rejected several contract offers from the Cherries, fuelling speculation over his future as Premier League heavyweights Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United continue to monitor his situation.

Negotiations between Scott and Bournemouth began toward the end of last season, with the club making multiple attempts to tie the highly-rated midfielder to a new long-term deal. However, the 21-year-old has so far turned down every proposal.

Despite the setback in contract talks, Bournemouth remain confident that Scott will stay at the Vitality Stadium for the upcoming campaign and are under no immediate pressure to sell one of their prized assets.

Scott has emerged as one of England’s brightest young midfielders since joining Bournemouth, with his composed displays and technical ability attracting interest from several of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are understood to be leading the race should Scott become available, with all three clubs keen to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new season.

Bournemouth, however, are determined to retain the England Under-21 international and believe he remains central to the club’s long-term plans.

With the transfer window still open, Scott’s contract situation is expected to remain one of the key storylines, although Bournemouth are optimistic they can keep hold of the midfielder despite growing interest from some of England’s elite clubs.
