Northampton Town have completed the signing of striker Harvey Saunders on a two-year contract following his departure from Tranmere Rovers at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old forward arrives at Sixfields after an impressive loan spell with Eastleigh FC in the National League, where he scored 10 goals in 38 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign.
Saunders began his professional career with Fleetwood Town before enjoying spells at Hartlepool United and Bristol Rovers. He joined Tranmere in January 2023 and now embarks on a new chapter with Northampton.
Speaking after securing the striker’s services, Northampton manager Chris Hogg highlighted Saunders’ versatility and attacking qualities.
“Harvey brings positional flexibility with a lot of energy and pace to run in behind and stretch defences, which is a good asset for any team to have,” Hogg told the club’s official website.
The move represents another step in Northampton’s squad rebuilding plans ahead of the new season, with Saunders expected to add pace, work rate and valuable attacking options to Hogg’s side.
