Real Madrid have announced that Brazilian superstar Vinicius Jr. has signed a new contract that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 30, 2032.
The long-term extension ends months of speculation over the 26-year-old’s future and reinforces the club’s commitment to one of its most influential players.
Vinicius joined Real Madrid from Brazilian side Flamengo in July 2018 at the age of 18 and has since developed into one of the world’s finest attacking talents.
During his eight seasons with Los Blancos, the Brazilian winger has made 375 appearances, scored 128 goals, and played a pivotal role in one of the most successful eras in the club’s history.
His impressive trophy haul includes two UEFA Champions League titles, three FIFA Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups, giving him a total of 14 major trophies with the Spanish giants.
Vinicius has been instrumental in many of those triumphs, delivering crucial goals and assists, including memorable strikes in Real Madrid’s Champions League final victories in Paris in 2022 and London in 2024.
His individual achievements have been equally impressive. The Brazil international won The Best FIFA Men’s Player award in 2024, was named Golden Ball winner at the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup, and received the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season award for the 2023/24 campaign.
He also claimed the Golden Ball at the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup and was named Best Young Player in the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League.
In addition, Vinicius has earned widespread recognition through his inclusion in the FIFA World XI (2024), the FIFA FIFPro World11 in 2023 and 2024, and the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season on three occasions.
The contract extension ensures Real Madrid will retain one of the game’s brightest stars for the foreseeable future as the club continues to build around a core of world-class talent.
By committing his future until 2032, Vinicius is expected to remain at the heart of Real Madrid’s ambitions to compete for domestic and European honours for years to come.
