FC Barcelona have welcomed their returning international players back to training as manager Hansi Flick steps up preparations for Saturday’s La Liga encounter against Getafe CF.
The Catalan giants completed a full training session on Thursday, October 8, at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper after the international break.
Among those returning to the squad were Spanish internationals Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Pau Cubarsí, Fermín López and Dani Olmo, alongside England’s Anthony Gordon and Croatia goalkeeper Dominik Livaković.
Their return gives Flick a stronger group to work with ahead of Barcelona’s Matchday Eight fixture at the Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday.
However, questions remain over the availability of Brazilian winger Raphinha, who has continued his individual recovery after sustaining an injury during international duty. Midfielder Frenkie de Jong and goalkeeper Joan García have also been managing their respective recoveries.
Barcelona will be eager to resume their domestic campaign with a positive result as they prepare for a demanding run of fixtures, including upcoming European commitments against Galatasaray and Paris Saint-Germain.
The meeting with Getafe gives Flick’s side a chance to build momentum before a busy stretch of the season.
