Mikel Arteta has committed his future to Arsenal after signing a new long-term contract that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until 2030.
The new deal comes just months after the Spanish manager ended Arsenal’s 22-year wait for the Premier League title, leading the Gunners to their first league triumph since 2004.
Arteta took charge of Arsenal in December 2019 and has overseen a remarkable transformation at the north London club. After three consecutive seasons finishing as runners-up, the 44-year-old finally delivered the league crown last season.
Arsenal’s decision to extend his contract reflects the club’s belief that Arteta’s success can mark the beginning of an even more successful era.
“This is only the beginning of what we can achieve together,” Arteta said after signing his new contract.
The extension will also see Arteta become Arsenal’s longest-serving permanent manager of the modern era, with his reign set to stretch beyond a decade.
His coaching staff have also agreed new contracts, providing further continuity as Arsenal prepare to defend their Premier League title and compete for more major honours.
With the long-awaited league crown finally secured, Arsenal supporters now have another reason to celebrate: Arteta is staying at the Emirates.
