Cole Palmer has committed his long-term future to Chelsea after signing a contract extension that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2034.
The 24-year-old England international signed the new deal on Saturday, October 10, with improved terms after establishing himself as one of Chelsea’s key attacking players. His previous contract was due to expire in 2033.
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 and has made a significant impact since arriving in West London. He has recorded 91 goals in 138 appearances across all competitions, helping the club win the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League.
Speaking about his decision to extend his stay, Palmer said Chelsea meant a lot to him and that conversations with the club’s owners, sporting directors and manager gave him confidence to commit his future to the team.
He also highlighted the shared ambition within the squad to win major trophies, adding that he wanted to play an important role in the club’s future success.
Chelsea Continue Long-Term Contract Strategy
Palmer’s extension is part of Chelsea’s wider effort to secure the futures of key players. Forward João Pedro has also signed a deal running until 2034, while winger Pedro Neto agreed to a new six-year contract last month.
The new agreement gives Chelsea long-term security over one of their most influential attacking players as the club continues to build its squad for future campaigns.
Chelsea were 10th in the Premier League table ahead of their match against Bournemouth on Saturday, with Palmer’s continued availability and contribution expected to remain important to the team’s ambitions.
