Niger Tornadoes have appointed Abdulmajeed Ibrahim as the club’s new Sporting Director ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The appointment was confirmed by the Niger State Government as part of efforts to reposition the club and strengthen its football operations for the upcoming campaign.

According to the state government, Ibrahim’s appointment aligns with its commitment to building a more competitive and professionally managed Niger Tornadoes side.

In his new role, Ibrahim will oversee the club’s sporting affairs, with responsibilities expected to include player recruitment, football development, squad planning and the implementation of long-term structures aimed at improving the team’s performance.

He is widely regarded for his record of delivering excellence in previous assignments and is expected to bring his experience and expertise to the Minna-based club.

The appointment comes as Niger Tornadoes continue preparations for the new season, having recently reshuffled their technical crew as part of a broader restructuring aimed at improving the club’s fortunes in the 2026/27 campaign.

The management hopes the latest changes will provide the foundation for a more competitive season as the Ikon Allah Boys seek to make a stronger impact in the NPFL.
