Crystal Palace are reportedly closing in on the signing of Union Saint-Gilloise winger Anan Khalaili in a deal worth around £21 million.

The 21-year-old Israel international is expected to complete his move to the Eagles in the coming week as Palace continue to strengthen their squad ahead of their Europa League campaign.

Khalaili, who primarily operates on the right side of midfield, made 52 appearances for Union SG in all competitions last season, scoring six goals and providing six assists.

The youngster also featured in the Champions League, giving him valuable European experience that could prove useful for Palace as they prepare for another continental campaign.

Palace have already been active in the transfer market, completing the free-agent signings of defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oscar Mingueza.

The Eagles are also reportedly close to signing 19-year-old Real Salt Lake winger Zavier Gozo, while they had previously shown interest in Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson.

However, Johnson is now expected to join Everton as part of a swap deal that would see Dwight McNeil move in the opposite direction.

With Khalaili seemingly close to arriving at Selhurst Park, Palace are continuing to build a squad capable of competing on both the domestic and European fronts.
