Victor Osimhen‘s future remains one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window, but Okan Buruk has expressed hope that the prolific striker will continue his journey with Galatasaray.
The Nigerian international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Turkish champions following another outstanding campaign that helped Galatasaray secure a second consecutive Super Lig title.
Several European giants, including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Atlético Madrid, Juventus and Chelsea, have all been credited with interest in the 27-year-old forward.
Despite the growing speculation, Buruk insisted that no concrete developments regarding Osimhen’s departure have reached the club.
Speaking via Forza Cimbom, the Galatasaray boss said:
“No such issue has come to us. There is nothing at the moment. Hopefully, he will continue his path at Galatasaray.”
Buruk’s comments come amid reports that Galatasaray recently rejected a substantial offer from Atlético Madrid for the striker, underlining the club’s determination to retain one of their most influential players.
Osimhen enjoyed another prolific season in Turkey, combining goals, leadership and attacking quality to spearhead Galatasaray’s successful title defence. His performances have only strengthened interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, making his future one of the most closely watched transfer sagas of the summer.
For now, Galatasaray remain publicly confident, but with several elite clubs monitoring the situation, speculation surrounding Osimhen is expected to continue until the transfer window closes.
