Scott and Beauden Barrett have both been named in the All Blacks starting XV for Saturday’s Bledisloe Cup clash against Australia at Eden Park.
Scott Barrett makes his first Test appearance of 2026 after recovering from a back injury that required surgery. The 32-year-old returns at lock alongside Josh Lord.
His brother Beauden will start at fullback after Richie Mo’unga was ruled out with a calf injury.
The change sees Damian McKenzie move into the No.10 jersey, with Beauden Barrett taking over at No.15.
The All Blacks will also be without captain Ardie Savea through injury, with hooker Codie Taylor taking over the captaincy.
The Barrett brothers’ return adds plenty of experience to a New Zealand side preparing for the opening Bledisloe Cup Test.
All Blacks XV: Ethan de Groot, Codie Taylor (c), Fletcher Newell, Scott Barrett, Josh Lord, Tupou Vaa’i, Peter Lakai, Wallace Sititi, Cam Roigard, Damian McKenzie, Leroy Carter, Jordie Barrett, Quinn Tupaea, Will Jordan, Beauden Barrett.
