Transfer Round-Up: Arsenal Eye Barcola, Mourinho Targets Fernandez, Rashford Future Uncertain

The summer transfer window is gathering pace across Europe, with several high-profile clubs plotting major moves ahead of the new season.

Arsenal Preparing Move for Bradley Barcola

Arsenal are reportedly preparing an offer for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options.

According to reports, the Gunners are currently assessing the financial details of a potential deal before making their approach to PSG. Arsenal have identified the left-wing position as a priority area this summer and have been monitoring Barcola closely.

The 23-year-old enhanced his growing reputation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, coming off the bench to score in France’s 3-1 victory over Senegal in their opening group-stage match.

Any move, however, could depend on Arsenal generating funds through player sales before completing further additions to their squad.

Mourinho Wants Enzo Fernandez at Real Madrid

New Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly made Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez his top midfield target.

The Argentine international joined Chelsea in a club-record deal in 2023 and remains under a long-term contract until 2032. Chelsea are believed to value Fernandez at more than £100 million, making any deal difficult to complete.

Mourinho is keen to add a dynamic box-to-box midfielder following the arrivals of Bernardo Silva, Marc Cucurella and Ibrahima Konate.

Should a move for Fernandez prove unattainable, Real Madrid are also exploring a deal for Mateus Fernandes, who is valued at around £80 million. The Spanish giants are additionally seeking defensive reinforcements, with Ruben Dias among the names under consideration.

Manchester United Reject Another Rashford Loan

Manchester United have reportedly ruled out the possibility of allowing Marcus Rashford to return to Barcelona on another loan deal.

Rashford recently returned to Old Trafford after Barcelona allowed their option to sign him permanently to expire. Despite speculation linking the England international with another temporary move to Camp Nou, United are said to have no interest in sanctioning a second loan arrangement.

The Red Devils are expected to seek a permanent solution regarding Rashford’s future if he is not part of their long-term plans.

With pre-season preparations approaching, the forward’s situation is likely to become one of the major storylines of the summer transfer window.
