Cardiff Devils delivered an emphatic performance to complete a perfect weekend, recording back-to-back victories over Dundee Stars in the Elite League.
After a solid 3–0 win on Saturday, the Devils returned in dominant fashion on Sunday, thrashing Dundee 8–1 at the Vindico Arena.
Kristoff Kontos starred with a hat-trick in a player-of-the-match display, leading a relentless attacking performance. He was joined on the scoresheet by Brett Perlini, Brandon Estes, Cedric Lacroix, Josh MacDonald and Brett Ferguson, as the hosts overwhelmed their visitors.
Dundee’s only response came late in the game through Justin Bean, who grabbed a consolation goal.
The results leave Cardiff third in the standings, just one point behind the Nottingham Panthers and seven points adrift of leaders Belfast Giants, who still hold a game in hand over both rivals.
