Quincy-born boxer Ryan Kielczweski is set for an emotional homecoming as he headlines “Rumble at the Rink II” at the Quincy Youth Arena on May 16.
Nicknamed “The Polish Prince,” Kielczweski will be fighting in his hometown for the first time since 2016 and making his long-awaited return to the ring after a four-year absence.
The event, promoted by Granite Chin Promotions, will also feature junior featherweight Jenn Perella, adding further local interest to the fight card.
Beyond the action in the ring, the event has a community focus, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to the Quincy Fire Cancer Foundation.
Fans will also have the opportunity to meet notable combat-sports figures, including Butterbean and local boxing legend Micky Ward, during special fan-zone sessions scheduled for the evening.
The bout marks a significant moment for Kielczweski as he looks to relaunch his career in front of a home crowd, while also giving back to the community that shaped his journey in the sport.
