Kylian Mbappé celebrated a historic milestone in style, scoring twice as Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2–1 at Camp Nou on Sunday to claim El Clásico bragging rights.
The French superstar opened the scoring in the 41st minute when Barcelona defender Gerard Martín’s attempted clearance deflected off him and into the net.
Barcelona fought back after the break, with Raphinha equalising in the 61st minute to reignite the contest and give the home supporters hope.
However, Mbappé delivered the decisive blow in the 87th minute, finishing off a move created by Jude Bellingham’s brilliant skill and Eduardo Camavinga’s assist to secure a crucial victory for Real Madrid.
The second goal also brought Mbappé’s tally to 100 goals in 116 appearances for Real Madrid, marking a remarkable achievement since joining the Spanish giants in 2024.
The victory handed Real Madrid three valuable points and ended Barcelona’s unbeaten start to the league campaign, giving Madrid a major boost in the early La Liga title race.
