Chelsea will discover their first opponents in the 2026/27 Carabao Cup when the second-round draw takes place on Monday evening.
The Blues enter the competition at the second-round stage as they begin their latest attempt to win the League Cup for a sixth time. Chelsea have previously lifted the trophy five times, most recently in 2015.
The draw is scheduled to take place at around 7:20 pm BST, during the build-up to the first-round tie between Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City.
Chelsea are among 11 Premier League clubs entering the competition at this stage, with the sides involved in European competition entering at the third-round stage instead. The second-round draw is also divided into northern and southern sections to reduce travel demands.
The second-round matches are scheduled to be played during the week commencing August 24.
For new Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso, the competition will provide another opportunity to assess his squad in a competitive fixture and begin his pursuit of silverware in his first season in charge.
The Blues will be hoping the draw provides a favourable route as they attempt to end their long wait for another Carabao Cup triumph.
