Plymouth Argyle have completed the signing of midfielder Harvey White from Stevenage on a three-year contract as manager Tom Cleverley continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season.

The 24-year-old arrives at Home Park after an impressive spell with Stevenage, where he made 118 appearances and established himself as one of the club’s key performers. White featured 50 times during the 2025-26 campaign, scoring six goals and helping Stevenage reach the League One play-offs.

White opted against signing a new contract with the Hertfordshire club and becomes Argyle’s fourth permanent signing of the summer transfer window.

Cleverley, who faced White during the previous season, believes the midfielder will add quality and creativity to the Pilgrims’ midfield.

“I saw him play several times last season, including against us, and he impressed me with how well he used the ball, how he reads the game, and how much he influences play,” Cleverley told the club’s official website.

“He is left-footed, has very good set-piece delivery, and I am looking forward to working with him.”

Argyle director of football Derek Adams also welcomed the arrival of the midfielder, highlighting both his experience and potential for further development.

“The addition of Harvey complements our other midfielders nicely,” Adams said.

“At 24, he has some experience under his belt, and still has scope to develop even further.”

White began his career in the academy at Tottenham Hotspur, progressing through the youth ranks before making senior appearances in the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League. He also featured regularly in the EFL Trophy during his time with the North London club.

The midfielder gained additional experience during loan spells with Portsmouth and Derby County before joining Stevenage, where he became a consistent performer in League One.

His arrival provides Plymouth with added depth, creativity and set-piece quality as the club prepares for the upcoming campaign.
